A BIT ABOUT ME:
My name is Yvean (Ee-van). I'm a keen photographer and I enjoy taking all sorts of photographs, from natural landscape photography, to portrait to urban street photography. My main body of work is digital photography, this is what I have worked with most because I enjoy the photo editing and the overall crisp defined finish/look you get to your photographs working with DSLR cameras. Despite this however, I do enjoy working with black and white film photography, especially when it comes to urban street photography. I find that B&W film gives a good tone and feel to urban and street photography with strong contrast between dark and light.
Over the last few years of studying the subject I have taken interest and experimented in all these types of photography in past projects for school, sixth form and college but also lots for self interest. Having visited various universities and university fairs, as well as photography exhibitions, and galleries it has given me lots of scope and ideas as to where I can take my photography further in later life. Future job roles within photography I like see to see myself working within the future would include: magazine photography photographing for music, fashion and skate magazines. A lot of clothing/skate stores often have magazines with strong photography, that advertises the clothes, products and the scene in general. As well as this, I take a huge interest in event photography, potentially photographing and documenting festivals and shows of any sort, specifically music festivals and performances.
